1Which site you are on matters
EBClub spans two properties run by two companies, and the cookie position is different on each. It is worth being clear about which one you are looking at.

2What cookies are
Cookies are small files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, local storage and software development kits. We use the word cookies in this notice to cover all of them.
3Cookies in the EBClub community
The community is provided by Heartbeat Chat, Inc. It sets its own cookies and local storage, which are necessary for the community to function.

Heartbeat processes this data as our processor under its Data Processing Addendum. Because signing in is essential to using a members-only community, the necessary cookies above cannot be switched off while you are a member. Heartbeat's own subprocessor list is published and updated by Heartbeat.
We do not run advertising cookies, remarketing tags or third-party ad measurement inside the EBClub community. There is no advertising in a members-only professional space and there is not going to be.
4Changing your choices
- On the EBN site, including all EBClub public pages, use the cookie button on any page or the preferences link in the footer. That is described in the EBN Cookie Notice.
- Inside the community, the necessary cookies cannot be switched off while you are signed in, because signing in is what they do. If you do not want them, do not sign in.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the community's necessary cookies you will not be able to stay signed in.
5Analytics
Heartbeat runs product analytics through PostHog to understand how the platform is used. That is not strictly necessary and requires consent in both the UK and the EU. We are reviewing whether it can be disabled for our community, and will update this notice with the outcome.
We do not combine community analytics with your membership record for advertising, and we do not use them to build profiles about you.
6Global Privacy Control
We honour Global Privacy Control signals on the properties we control. If your browser or extension sends one, we treat it as an opt-out of advertising cookies and of any sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising.
7Changes and contact
We review this notice whenever we add, remove or change a technology, and at least once a year. The version number and effective date are at the top.
